Ordering Prints
Once your session is over, it will take up to three days for your photos to be posted
in your own personal gallery at pics.beyourselfphoto.com. If you would like your
gallery to be password protected, please just let me know. Ordering your prints is
pretty straightforward, but I'm always available to help with any questions you may
have. To order your prints, simply follow the link I send you for your gallery. Click
"Buy" just above and to the right of the photo you would like to purchase. Select
your sizes, and then click "Back to Photos" at the bottom left to order other photos.
When you're done, simply go to your shopping cart and check out. Your photos
will be mailed directly to you. Once you order your prints, your gallery will stay up
for friends and family to view your photos.
A word about cropping photos when ordering your prints:
If you order a size such as 5x7, 8x10 or 10x13, when you check out, you will be
prompted to crop your photo. This is because the sensor in most cameras have a
ratio of 2:3, which equates to a standard 4x6 print. If you would like other sizes that
do not have a 2:3 ratio, you’ll be asked to crop your image to fit the dimensions.
If you choose not to crop your image, your image will be printed with white borders
to fill in the space to accommodate the paper size, like this:
If you would like to not crop your images, or have to deal with the white border, I
would suggest a print that matches the dimensions of the sensor, such as 8x12,
10x15 or 11x18. These aren’t standard sizes, but frame manufacturers are
beginning to make frames to fit these sizes as they become more common.
Americanframe.com has a great selection of frames at very reasonable prices, and
I would highly recommend them for your non-standard sized frames.
